CODE OF CONDUCT FOR SPECTATORS   
 

• Remember that children play organised sports for their own enjoyment.  They are not there to entertain you 
   
• Be on your best behaviour.  Do not use profane language or harass, physically or verbally, skaters, managers, coaches or
  race officials 
   
• Applaud all good races by your own club and the other clubs 
   
• Show respect for your club’s opponents.  Without them, there would be no racing 
   
• Never ridicule or scold a child for making a mistake during a race 
   
• Condemn the use of violence and verbal abuse 
   
• Respect the race officials’ decisions.  Remember they are  only human with the same feelings as you and, like you, 
  sometimes makes an honest error 
   
• Encourage skaters always to race according to the National Governing Body’s rules and regulations for racing 
   
• Read the race rules and regulations to better understand what you are looking at and commenting on
